!!!Spoilers abound!!!
*Notes on this guide*
Since Kotaro is a shonen fighting manga, there are a -lot- of fights. Kotaro is always getting in fights with random thugs, the school committee, his eternal rival Tenkouji, or the Jakotsukai(as they are a moving force behind everything in this story). I'll only detail the important fights for the sake of keeping this file from getting too long. So far, I've only worked on the first part of the manga, as the later volumes have yet to be released by the guys at Manga Sketchbook. I don't want to get too far ahead.
Battle oo1
Kotaro vs. School
The manga begins with the Student President putting a bounty on Kotaro's head, specifically his hair. The reward is 1 million yen for cutting his long hair, so you can imagine that everyone in the school wants a piece of it. He wins at the end after blowing up the Student President's office with an explosive arrow and then cutting off his own hair for the reward.
Battle oo2
Kotaro vs. Kimura Masahiko
The second battle pits Kotaro against a giant of a man named Kimura Masahiko, who's the leader of a judo club with over 100 members. Kotaro gets kidnapped by them after getting beaned in the head with a rock by Beni Bara. He awakens in their dojo and has to fight his way out through every member of the club. He also attempts to rip off all their pornography in the process. Kotaro gets his ass kicked by Masahiko until Mayumi is injured. After that he goes berzerk and puts the giant into intensive care for a good while.
Battle oo3
Kotaro vs. Shunbei Sadoya vs. Teruhiko Tenkouji
The Student President, annoyed with his previous failure to irradicate Kotaro, decides to sick the katana master, Tenkouji on our hero. He also enlists the help of the one-eyed, whip using punk, Sadoya in oder to keep Tenkouji from messing up, much to the bald swordsman's ire. Eventually, things get way out of hand and Kotaro beats Sadoya within an inch of his life, only to save him from falling to his death. As payment, Sadoya tries to kill him with a knife and ends up getting kicked around again. Unable to accept defeat, he decides to torch the clocktower they were fighting in, and later ends up in a mental hospital torturing Hokoto no Ken dolls with his whip.
Battle oo4
Kotaro and Tenkouji vs Chris, Andre, and Tamuraa
When a princess enrolls in school, Kotaro is there to woo her and/or steal her underwear. However, his attepts are foiled by her bodyguards. Kotaro vows to steal her panties, and Tenkouji, who was insulted by one of the guards, decides to help him. The two heroes use disguises to trick the guards, but eventually have to fight them and they lose. There is a rematch later, and Kotaro nearly crushes Chris' balls with his nunchukus.
Battle oo5
Kotaro vs. Kenji Kisaragi
Kotaro ventures into the school's D Block, a region controlled by gangs. Being the lovable scamp he is, Kotaro manages to piss off a man looking for his brother there, a kung-fu expert named Kenji. The guy uses a staff that breaks down into sections, as well as some really neat and powerful hand to hand skills. The two fight to a draw pretty much and become allies later on.
Battle oo6
Tenkouji vs. Kenji
Block D seems to be controlled by a gang called the Cyclops Gang. Their leader is a masked man who uses whips and looks remarkably like Shunbei Sadoya. In actuallity, this man is Shunbei's twin brother, who is missing his other eye due to a botched knife fight. This guy is stronger and crueler than his brother could ever be. In fact, it was Ryuuhei who took Shunbei's eye in order to get revenge for an insult. He captures everyone and decides to load them onto catapults as a fun way of killing them. He decides to make sport of this by having Kenji and Tenkouji fight over who he releases from the catapult. Tenkouji wins by running Kenji through the stomach with his sword. Sadoya releases a prisoner of Tenkouji's choice, and Tenkouji honorably takes the place of Kenji's brother.
Battle oo7
Kotaro vs Ryuuhei Sadoya
Sadoya doesn't really care about getting revenge for his brother, but he wants to torture Kotaro anyways for beating up his gang and ruining his entertainment by freeing all the prisoners from the catapults. The two seem evenly matched at first. Kotaro is much faster, but Sadoya seems to be invulnerable(he keeps getting back up, but with less teeth each time). Sadoya then uses all of his skill and Kotaro must use his other senses to dodge the whips. He manages to grab hold of them and disable Sadoya.
